Torrential Rains in South Korea Leave 4 Dead, Over 1,300 Evacuated

Unseasonal heavy rainfall has struck South Korea, claiming four lives and forcing the evacuation of more than 1,300 people across affected regions.

 

Among the deceased were two elderly men, one of whom reportedly died while attempting to clear floodwater from his home. Another victim was killed when a collapsing wall crushed his car—he had just called his wife to say the vehicle was being swept away. The fourth person suffered a fatal cardiac arrest during the chaos.
