The Lion and the Mouse



One day, a big lion was sleeping under a tree. A little mouse ran over his body while playing. The lion woke up and caught the mouse with his big paw.

“How dare you wake me up!” roared the lion. “I will eat you!”

 

The mouse was scared and said, “Please don’t eat me. I’m very small. One day, I might help you.”

The lion laughed, “How can a small mouse help a big lion?” But he let the mouse go.

 

A few days later, the lion got caught in a hunter’s net. He roared and tried to break free, but the net was too strong.

Suddenly, the little mouse heard the lion’s roar. He ran to help and started chewing the rope. He worked hard and finally cut the net.

 

The lion was free! He said, “Thank you, little friend. I was wrong. Even small friends can be great helpers.”

 

Moral:

Never underestimate anyone. Even small people can do big things.
