Mitchell Starc’s Best Bowling in His 100th Test Breaks 78-Year-Old Record
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc played his 100th Test match and did an amazing job by reaching 400 wickets in his career.
In the third and final day-night Test match against West Indies, Starc took 6 wickets for just 9 runs, which was his best bowling performance ever in Test cricket. He helped Australia win the match by 176 runs.
In this match, he also took his 400th wicket. It happened in a very special over where he took 3 wickets in a row!

Starc also broke a 78-year-old record by getting 5 wickets in just 15 balls, the fastest five wickets in Test cricket history. The old record was set in 1947 by another Australian bowler, Ernie Toshack, who took 5 wickets in 19 balls against India.
After the match, Starc said, “This whole week felt strange. I just wanted to win the match and sing with my team. But this was a special moment I will never forget.”
