Ex-US Army Soldier Admits Hacking Telecom Firms

Cameron John Wagenius, a former U.S. Army soldier, has pleaded guilty to hacking several telecommunications companies. Operating under the alias “kiberphant0m,” he used brute-force attacks and other methods to steal employee login credentials. He shared this stolen information and discussed hacking plans in Telegram group chats. Wagenius targeted 10 companies and attempted to extort them by threatening to release their confidential data.
