India’s recent loss in the London Test against England, putting them 1-2 behind in the five-match series, has reignited concerns over their fragile middle order, especially the vacant No. 4 spot after Virat Kohli’s retirement.
Former cricketer and World Cup winner Madan Lal has publicly urged Kohli to reconsider his decision and return to Test cricket. According to him, Kohli’s presence is not only vital for stability but also for mentoring young players.
He praised Kohli’s unmatched commitment to Indian cricket and said there’s no shame in making a comeback. Lal believes Kohli still has 1–2 years of top-level cricket left in him and hopes to see him back, if not in this series, then in the next.
