کراچی میں تمام قبرستانوں کو رجسٹرڈ کرنے کا حکم

محکمہ بلدیہ نے کراچی میں فی قبر کا نرخ 14,300 روپے مقرر کر دیا ہے۔

یہ فیصلہ ہو چکا ہے کہ کراچی کے تمام قبرستانوں کو رجسٹرڈ کیا جائے گا، اور یہ فیصلہ میئر کراچی مرتضیٰ وہاب نے کیا ہے۔

یہ بات قابل غور ہے کہ اس وقت کراچی میں قبرستانوں کی تعداد 200 سے زائد ہے، جب کہ بلدیہ کے زیر انتظام صرف 38 قبرستان ہیں۔ میئر کراچی کی ہدایت کے مطابق تمام قبرستانوں کی رجسٹریشن کا عمل شروع کیا جائے گا، اور انہوں نے یہ ہدایت بھی دی ہے کہ قبرستانوں کے مالکان یا منتظمین بلدیہ کے دفتر سے سالانہ تجدید کے لیے فارم حاصل کریں اور رجسٹریشن کروائیں۔

مزید برآں، میئر کراچی کا کہنا ہے کہ بلدیہ عظمیٰ کراچی کے تحت تمام رجسٹرڈ قبرستانوں میں فی قبر 14,300 روپے کا سرکاری نرخ مقرر کیا گیا ہے، اور اس سے زائد رقم وصول کرنے والے گورکنوں کے خلاف قانونی کارروائی کی جائے گی۔

ان تمام مسائل کے تدارک کے لیے کراچی کے تمام قبرستانوں کو رجسٹرڈ کرنے کا عمل جلد شروع کیا جا رہا ہے۔

The Municipal Department has fixed the official rate for a grave in Karachi at Rs. 14,300.

A decision has been made to register all graveyards in Karachi, and this step has been taken by the Mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab.

Current Status of Graveyards in Karachi

It is worth noting that there are currently more than 200 graveyards in Karachi, while only 38 are under the control of the municipal authority.

Registration and Annual Renewal Process

According to the Mayor’s instructions, all graveyards will now be brought under registration. He has directed that the owners or administrators of graveyards must collect the annual renewal form from the municipal office and complete their registration process.

Fixed Government Rate for Graves

The Mayor stated that in all officially registered graveyards under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the fixed rate per grave will be Rs. 14,300.

Action Against Overcharging Grave Diggers

Any grave diggers or caretakers charging more than the fixed rate will face strict legal action by the authorities.

Reasons Behind This Decision

This decision has been made due to several critical issues that were affecting the burial system in Karachi:

  • Shortage of available burial space

  • Illegal sale of fake or non-existent graves

  • Unjustified and excessive pricing

  • Exploitation of grieving families during vulnerable times

To resolve these problems and bring order and fairness to the system, the process of registering all graveyards in Karachi is being launched without delay.
